It’s that time again.

Some of you are like, what time? You don’t even know what day of the week it is, that’s ok.

Some of you are like, “I don’t get a holiday, this job never ends.” I know.

Some of you are busy planning every detail for a large family meal; I see you too.

Wherever you are this holiday season I encourage you to pause for a moment to identify at least three things you are grateful for.

They might include –

*Good news at a doctor’s appointment

*Actually getting your loved one successfully in the care and to the doctor.

*Your loved one ate your dinner this evening

*You made it through another day

*Signing up for hospice

*You got your loved one to the bathroom successfully

*The pharmacy actually delivered the right meds

*Your spot opened up for Meals on Wheels

*You discovered coaching for burned-out caregivers

*Your adult child volunteered to step in and give you a day off

*Your neighbor is brining turkey dinner for you and your loved one

Research shows practicing gratitude benefits our physical and mental health, and increases our resilience and social bonds. Take a moment to do this for you today. Repeat often.

I am grateful for you, caregivers out there helping your family members every day. I know it often feels thankless. I see you.

In celebration of Thanksgiving, I am offering your first 45 minute session free of charge. Reach out and I will get you scheduled.
