My clients tell me they can’t do both, but I disagree.
My clients feel often trapped – like they can never leave home.
Some caregivers also tell me they would never ask for help even when it is available.
(Hint – it is often available if you know where to look)
Do you see the conundrum?
We often tell ourselves we have to do it all alone..
We feel we are the only one who knows how.
We tell ourselves we are the only one our loved one responds to.
Over and over I watch clients prove these statements wrong.
You can have a life and you can take good care of your loved one.
It is possible.
But do you believe it?
Do you want to believe it?
You can decide if it is true.
What would you tell yourself if you got help (ie. Would you let it be ok?), if your loved one actually cooperated with someone else?
Sign up for a FREE mini session and we can go to work on these thoughts that keep you from having a life while caring for your loved ones. I believe in the possibility of both. I know you are exhausted and burning out, I see you.
